Some bad news, our Tiger donation box was broken into. The issue was reported to the police but there are no leads. About $300 was taken. However, we need to keep focused on our goal. Please consider making an online donation by clicking the link below or reblog this post so we can build a proper home for our Alexis and Miracle. Even small donations add up. Thank you.
Our architect, Clark Design Group won an award for the the design of the Giraffe House and Classroom. Now with fundraising almost complete we need an engineer. We would be happy to hear your recommendations for an engineer. Thank you!

For those not on Twitter please consider checking out their Facebook page and thanking them for the tweet.

Plumpton Park Zoo’s own Tommy Lawrence was just accepted for a competitive and prestigious film/media internship in California this summer. Tommy, along with others, filmed the zoo’s documentary. Tommy then went on to film, edit and produce all of our educational videos. Tommy next lent a helping hand to our Chase Grant competition. Not to be outdone, Tommy took on the role of director of our very successful Zombies at the Zoo event. Tommy is now at Temple University after completing his time at Harford Community College. Below is a link to Tommy’s YouTube page. We will miss Tommy’s talent and passion but we want to wish him well.
