The real life origin of the movie “We Bought A Zoo” is the Dartmoor Zoo in England. Our zoo has followed a very similar path. This morning they were kind enough to tweet about us and our documentary. Plumpton Park Zoo’s own Tommy Lawrence was just accepted for a competitive and prestigious film/media internship in California this summer. Tommy, along with others, filmed the zoo’s documentary. Tommy then went on to film, edit and produce all of our educational videos. Tommy next lent a helping hand to our Chase Grant competition. Not to be outdone, Tommy took on the role of director of our very successful Zombies at the Zoo event. Tommy is now at Temple University after completing his time at Harford Community College. Below is a link to Tommy’s YouTube page. We will miss Tommy’s talent and passion but we want to wish him well.
